Demon Hunter only played one show this
whole year - and that was at Cornerstone California.
What have the critically acclaimed band-mates been up
to? Recording another amazing album ... or so they
say. Storm the Gates of Hell hits stores
November 6th - then we'll know if they have really just
been playing video games or making rock history.
What
happens when a band rocks an awesome album, completes a
major tour, and gain some sweet equipment sponsors?
Well, if you are Chasing Victory - you break up.
The guys felt that they had lost their love of the show
and needed some time to pursue other ventures - away
from each other. I guess 6 months in a van with
anyone might bring you to a breaking point.
Chasing Victory - you will be missed.
Virgin Mobile user? Nah, didn't
think so - but for the few trend-hounds that are, you
can get 12 Stones ringtones
HERE.
Switchfoot
might have left Columbia/Sony Records - but it wasn't to
take a break! The guys have 13 songs already laid
down for a Spring record and Jon Foreman is recording a
solo project due out this Winter.
Switchfoot has joined long-time friends and
favorite tour-buddies Relient K for a huge North
American Fall tour. Look for the Appetite For
Construction tour to swing through a
city
near you - and proceeds from ticket sales will
benefit Habitat For Humanity!
According
to the band's myspace blog, in between playing Wii
Bowling, eating fish tacos, and listening to the new
Paul McCartney album -
Sanctus Real has managed to
record a new record!
They are putting the
finishing touches on the yet-to-be-named project before
heading out on a fall tour with Steven Curtis Chapman.
Kutless rocked six festivals this summer
and at each one, one lucky fan got to strap on a guitar
and rock out on stage with the band - what a dream come
true! The band video taped the performances and it
is up to you to pick which one was the true rock star.
Click
HERE to vote for the best guitarist. The
winner will get a free PRS electric guitar and over $100
in Kutless merchandise!
12
Stones' Anthem for the Underdog is upon us and it
is selling like hotcakes (I guess that saying is only
relevant at an IHOP) ... But why buy a copy when
you can win an autographed copy for free?! And to
top it all off, you could win a PSP! Click
HERE to enter and win!
It will be
Demon
Hunter's only live show of 2007 along with Anberlin,
Emery, Project 86, Disciple, Falling Up, Underoath and
TONS MORE! Cornerstone California rocks the San
Andreas Fault line September 28-29. Get info and

Mute Math are heading out on their biggest tour to date -
a 3 month headlining jaunt across North America,
starting in Boston, MA on September 4th.
Alternative Press Magazine recently named Mute Math as
the "1 Band You Need To See Live Before You Die."
Showbread
vocalist Josh Dies has so much music bursting from his
veins that he had to go and make a side project album
(despite the tragic historical failures of nearly every
side project ever made).
Aesthetics Of Violence hits a few shelves December,
2008 but if you must hear it now, check out
www.myspace.com/joshuadies and listen to the new
non-Showbread song.
Kalel of Pillar updated their fans on
the process of rocking out Pillar's latest studio
project, For The Love Of The Game to be released
Spring of '08. He just laid down his bass tracks
and Rob will be laying to first of the vocals down soon.

Skillet isn't exactly going green
but they wanted to inspire their panhead legions to
think creatively while recycling old Skillet posters and
merch - It's a Make Random Stuff with Skillet Posters
contest ...
Email your art project idea to
contest@inorecords.com along with however many
posters you are going to need to get started.
Toby
Mac's single Boomin is featured on one of the
movie trailers for Disney's Underdog.
Hooray for Toby ... once again, I beg -
RE-FORM DC TALK!
Not that the Southern California music
scene desperately needs another Christian music festival
- but they are about to get the Grand-daddy of 'em all!
Cornerstone continues its North American expansion to
Oak Canyon Ranch, Orange County.
Third Day and Jars of Clay...
Both Grammy and Dove Award winners.
Both have many albums under their belts.
Both are releasing Christmas CD's this Fall! I
think it is the last of their similarities that gets me
most excited. They will also be heading to a North
American town near you with a 12 show Christmas tour!
As Irving Berlin wrote and Bing Crosby sang ... "I'm
dreaming of an Adult Contemporary Christmas ..."
MxPx
- in an attempt to garner some more attention for the
new album, Secret Weapon - and Hot Topic -
purveyor of band T's galore - are giving away an
autographed Ernie Ball bass.
Surely a punk enthusiast collector is driven mad with
desire over this once in a lifetime chance ...

Sonny of POD (and his wife, obviously)
just welcomed their first baby boy into the family!
Congratulations to them both. Also, Traa - using
the band's recording process downtime is teaching some
bass guitar clinics around So Cal.
Project
86 is so lazy that they want YOU to make their newest
music video! Well ... it might not be laziness
that is motivating this contest ... perhaps it is to get
the word out about their new album Rival Factions.
If you make the winning video to their hit single
Evil (A Chorus of Resistance) you take home a PSP
and a ton of Project 86 stuff! Want details?
Click
HERE.
Always the people pleasers - Project 86
wants to play your favorite songs on their fall tour -
all you have to do is post your P86 favorites on their
latest
BLOG.
Copeland
bassist James Likeness has decided to bid a fond
farewell to the arduous road warrior lifestyle of a rock
'n roll band member.
After 6 years with the band he has started a new career
with his degree in graphic design. His design
company is called
Tired Children - which I imagine appropriate after
touring for over half a decade!
Anticipate this: Mae's new album
Singularity hit shelves August 14th!
Day
of Fire is having some MySpace trouble - namely: they
were hacked and now their page is all askew. So
instead of spending the tedious hours revamping their
page, they want you to do it!
I'd charge by the
hour ...

Spoken will be putting out a new
self-titled album on September 25th - but you need not
wait that long to hear the new music! Check out
the very first track from the upcoming album on
Pure Volume.
After
semi-apologizing to parents of teens who got Skillet
tattoos, front-man Jon Cooper of Skillet laid down the
second half of summer plans for the band:
A week of vacation - A house building mission trip to
Tijuana, Mexico - Some more summer festivals - And
beginning in September, a US tour opening for Three Days
Grace and Breaking Benjamin!
Sons Of Day drummer Bogdan is marrying the band's "merch
girl" Irene this weekend. Congrats to them both!
Thousand
Foot Krutch is preparing to throw a new album to the
masses this September:
The Flame In All Of Us was produced by the same team
responsible for the last two Mae albums and Tenacious D
... yes, Jack Black's band. Seriously. That
is just awesome!
Underoath
will be testing the volume limits of your DVD player
with 777.
This will be the Florida emo-core band's first foray
into concert DVDs - available July 2007.
Jeremy Camp will be hitting the road
this fall on a special unplugged tour. The
night is designed to be intimate and worshipful, with a
special Q&A time for audience members to ask questions
to the band - personal, spiritual, and musical. It
should be pretty amazing.
Check
HERE to see if the tour is headed to your town
Jars of Clay think that they can do better ... by
creating their own record label. After mediocre
sales of Good Monsters - one of the best reviewed
Christian albums of 2006 - the band is launching Gray
Matters, their very own well of musical wealth.
The first produced album coming from the new Jars label
will be a Christmas compilation, supported with a Jars
of Clay/Third Day Christmas tour.
MxPx
really wants to get the word out about their upcoming
album "Secret Weapon."
So much so that they are going to give away a 30G Video
iPod, a Vestal Watch, a Bed Head gift pack, MxPx
Autographed goods, MxPx merch, and more!
All you have to do is enter
HERE.
